Easy replacement.
Good for. Extra button for my 2004 Honda Civic 4 door LX. But works great and don’t have to cut another key

Worked perfectly!
Saved $140 by doing this myself. The only difficulty is getting the chip out of your old key (for my model anyway), but the replacement case, etc. worked great and looks good. Seems more solid than the original and better designed in the place where the screw holds the case together. Ordering a second now for the other key.

Worked perfectly!
I was very worried about the 'rf chip' transfer but mine apparently does not have one or it's built into the unit already. It was a snap to remove the guts and pop it in the new case! I think this case may even be sturdier because of the extra plastic around where the key blade comes out. VERY SATISFIED! Also love that it has the Honda emblem!

Great Product and Inexpensive
I got this to replace the original Honda key fob that had broken. The original design is pretty poor. All of the force required to turn the ignition switch is absorbed by the thin plastic of the key fob. Eventually the key blade just twists out of the fob. With this replacement case the original blade is inserted into a heavier plastic part that is then slotted into the case. It seems much sturdier. The only real work is removing the RFID chip from the original case. It is in a little plastic hole and is also glued in. You have to cut the RFID chip free with a sharp knife and secure it into the new fob case with double stick tape. Not a big deal but if you expect a snap together system it will be additional work. It is still a lot cheaper and quicker than going to the dealer for a new key.

Good as New
2004 Honda Accord - I inserted my cut key into the sleeve provided which is held into place by grooves in the casing. I transferred the guts from my old casing (that was barely being held together by gorilla glue) then snapped the top in place and inserted the screw. It works perfect and feels more sturdy than the original.

Perfect!
This replacement key worked out just perfect. I needed to replace the batteries on my two keys. One had no problem, on the other one the extremely tiny screw would not come out. The only way was to drill or cut out the screw which of course would destroy the cover. I went looking on Amazon first for a replacement cover and bingo, they had them. (I found for some reason the screw had permanent Lock-Tite used on it and this was from the factory). I ordered one of the covers and everything fit perfect except that the cut blade part would not come out of its holder like the instructions stated it would. A couple of hits with a hammer and chisel took care of that. Then it took super some serious effort to get the key blade into the new holder and then again to get it to fit into the case (that's why only 3 stars on the install part). After all was said and done the key works and looks brand new and I will be able to change the battery easily in the future.

All good
Not hard to put together but it never quite lined up and left a gap.. disclaimer, I sawed out the little housing from the old key fob, that held the ..can't think of the name....the stone looking part that makes the car start..then superglued it into this new shell to keep it in the same position... that may not have been perfect but finally I made it work. Feels good to have a "new key" not all taped up with cello tape. 😊😊😊👍. Other pro..it includes a Honda logo which lets the key retain its ID as a honda key 😃

Works great for my 2005 Honda pilot
This key fob shell replacement worked perfectly and easily for my 2005 Honda Pilot key. My original was breaking and the little screw heads was stripped so I couldn’t get it open with out breaking the whole fob. Once I saw this was the exact replacement I needed and got it in hand, I broke mine open. It was incredibly easy to remove the key and replace it in the new housing. The case itself is a tight fit but it did completely close up properly. I will say the little screw in the replacement set is a little too long but I just didn’t screw it down as far as it would let me (if I did it pushed the case apart from itself). I just found the sweet spot where it doesn’t stick out (and rub or catch on anything) but not so far in that it caused separation. If my old screw worked I would have used it. Key feels sturdier than before. The hardest part of the whole thing was removing my chip from its old housing. But an sharp knife did the trick. Your car won’t start without removing it from your old housing.

Great key FOB case
This is a great replacement key FOB case. Just be prepared to have a emery board or small file to fine tune the case to fit together, because it is a tight fit. Once the fine adjustments are made it's works great. If your key FOB case needs replacement, I would highly recommend this one.

Exactly what we were looking for
The plastic part of our Honda Civic key was starting to chip and this caused the metal key to detach from the plastic altogether. This worked perfectly as a replacement and you can even swap out the electronic component. It's held securely in place and the screw holds it in pretty tight. We just got this yesterday so we'll see how it holds up in the long run but it seems like it will last a while.
